Think about such things...

Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.

-Frederick Lehman (1917)

God's love for us is so great that were we all tasked with writing about it, we would run out of materials and space on which to do so!  AND...God is so incredible that he gifted Frederick Lehman with being able to write such beautiful words!

  2. My goodness! I am totally new to your blog, but your most recent entry really caught me off guard! I'm in an inter-denominational worship choir, and we are singing the song from the poem you posted.

    Anyway, that's really the farthest of reasons to say hello. I'm a Marine wife as well. My husband was medically retired in December '08, and it's been hell for us every day (my profile says more), and I am always looking for support and new friends who are Marine wives who I could possibly relate to.

    Thank you for your blog, and more importantly, thank you for YOUR service. We both know the warriors fight better when their spouses serve, too. :)

    God bless you and may His face shine upon you as you seek to know Him more.
